Amir Khan brutally honest in Usyk-Dubois 2 fight prediction: "He's got no chance!"
Daniel Dubois has "no chance" of beating Oleksandr Usyk, according to Amir Khan
38-year-old retired world champion Amir Khan has completely dismissed Daniel Dubois' chances of beating two-weight undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk, when they clash at Wembley Stadium on July 19, live on DAZN.
Khan gave a damning verdict for his fellow Brit, when speaking to Genting Casino, beginning with the highest of praise for the Ukrainian, “Power doesn't matter to him. Size doesn't matter to that guy. He's just a good overall boxer and knows how to use his hands. He will hit you with shots that you're not going to see.
“And he then follows them shots up, so yeah, even if it goes to 12 rounds, I got Usyk winning that fight because Dubois’s going to try to pot shot him all the time.
“So I don't give Dubois any chance, I'm sorry.”
Even if the IBF titlist Dubois does pull off the upset to be crowned the first British undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis, the Bolton boxer still won't rate the Londoner above his domestic rivals.
“If Dubois wins, it's hard to say he surpassed AJ and Tyson Fury because he's just done it in one fight, whereas these guys have been fighting for many years.
“They’ve been fighting and having these wars with the Wilders and all of these, so it's hard to say that. But If he keeps on winning, he can.
“If he beats Usyk this time and he has to maybe have three or four more good named fighters he has to beat, and then I think he surpasses [them].”
